Who we are

About BSU Club SR

The Black Student Union at Seminole Ridge Community High School in Loxahatchee, FL is a student-run club for Black students and allies who want to lead, celebrate culture, build community, and make Hawks pride mean something more.

Our Mission

Build a space at Seminole Ridge where Black students thrive academically, culturally, and socially — and where every member graduates a stronger leader than the day they joined.

Our Vision

A school where Black culture is celebrated daily, Black voices carry weight in the halls and at pep rallies, and Black excellence is the standard — not the exception.

The Four Pillars

Leadership

Members run meetings, lead committees, and own real responsibilities. By spring you'll have led something.

Culture

Our Black History Month showcase is the centerpiece — music, art, history, and student voices on the main stage.

Community

After-school meetings, study groups, and a chosen family in the hallways. We show up for each other.

Impact

Service projects with the Loxahatchee community, school-wide advocacy, and Hawks pride that travels.

What we do

Events

Black History Month showcase, cultural nights, movie screenings, and pep-rally collabs.

Community

After-school meetings (room TBD), study sessions, and a network that has your back.

Advocacy

Real conversations with teachers, admin, and the broader Palm Beach community.
